(Winterhilfswerk / Winter Help Work) was an annual nationwide donation drive organized by the N.S.-Volkswohlfahrt (National Socialist People’s Welfare), during which members of various NSDAP organizations solicited public contributions and rewarded donors with officially issued lapel badges. The badge is a 30mm diameter, cast aluminum example with a silver wash finish, featuring a profile portrait of Adolf Hitler on the obverse with the designation of “Deutschlands Führer.” The portrait relief remains clear and well defined, making this a visually strong representative of early Third Reich-era civic propaganda and fundraising material.
